🟤 Oak

For a display with bold natural character, choose Oak.

Oak features a darker, more pronounced and varying grain pattern, giving each display its own distinctive appearance. The natural variations in the wood can create beautiful changes in tone and texture across both the engraved base and upright emblem.

It's an excellent choice when you want a more traditional, substantial wood appearance.

🟡 Poplar

For a cleaner and more uniform appearance, choose Poplar.

Poplar has a consistent, dense grain with attractive hues ranging from warm gold to natural light wood tones. Its smoother visual character allows the engraved artwork and personalization to stand out clearly.

It's an excellent choice for detailed badges, wings, insignia, and other intricate designs.

✨ Tung Oil Finish

Regardless of the wood you choose, every Vinstigator display is hand-finished with tung oil.

The oil brings out the natural grain and character of the wood while giving the finished piece a warm, handcrafted appearance.

🛠️ Two-Piece Construction

Each display is made from two separate pieces of natural wood.

The badge, wings, insignia, or emblem is individually laser cut and engraved into a flat piece of wood. The finished upright piece then slots securely into the wooden base and stands at approximately a 90° angle.

This creates a freestanding three-dimensional display while allowing the natural wood and engraved details to remain the focus of the piece.

📏 Approximate Size

Because each display is designed around the proportions of the selected badge, wings, or emblem, dimensions will vary slightly from one design to another.

Base: Approximately 4–6 inches wide × 3¼ inches deep

Badge / Emblem: Approximately 2–4 inches tall, depending on the design, and proportionately sized in width to maintain the correct appearance of the original badge or emblem.

Each design is proportioned to create a balanced finished display rather than stretching or distorting the original artwork simply to fit a predetermined size.

Because both Oak and Poplar are natural woods, no two displays will look exactly alike.

Oak may feature significant variations in grain, color, and texture, while Poplar generally provides a more consistent grain with natural variations in its light and golden tones.

The appearance and darkness of laser engraving can also vary slightly as the laser encounters different areas of natural grain.
